The Long Beach Peninsula is found in western Washington state in the US. It is bounded on the west by the Pacific the Columbia River is to the south and and the east is Willapa Bay – not forgetting on the west the somewhat unmissable Pacific Ocean.
The peninsula is famous for its long sand beaches on the Pacific Ocean side, 28 miles (45 km) in extent, claimed to be the longest beach in the United States. Even though the card is for a casual audience it carries a lot of geographical detail.
