The Dunnock is a common bird who causes very little uproar, and is a resident of Ireland.
The adult has a chestnut brown back but blue and grey underneath, with some white along the sides. It has a sharp beak and feeds on the ground looking for seeds and insects. The male is a lively singer in the Spring and calls with a thin tseer.
Likes to live in gardens, woods, and hedges. and is found all over Ireland and among the 20 most common birds.
