Dunsevrick Harbour is somewhat of a knowledge blind-spot for me. I could find little information about the harbour other than the charges for boats. It seems to have been there for a long time.
Thanks to Bob Jones at Geograph.ie, I know that many local people began their long emigration trail during the 1800s, being rowed out to catch a passing schooner bound for Glasgow or Derry and they would embark on one of the many emigrant ships to Australia, New Zealand or the Americas. It is rarely mentioned as a tourist destination and is probably considered in the area more of a practical space for the use of boat owners. I liked the rugged long-lasting weather-beaten look of the place.
